How much nonperishable food do you have right now?
Perhaps not as much as you think, I highly recommend that you take the time to know so that you can adjust your preps accordingly.
Today is a random Saturday, not counting any dedicated preps or any of the perishable foods in my refrigerator/freezer I have just under 50,000 calories on hand right now. That means my wife and I could maintain a 2,000 calorie diet for about 12 days before we run out of calories. That's not really a lot of time, we would need to immediately begin rationing food in order to stretch it out while we seek out alternative sources and resupply.
